DocuWare has been awarded "Best Private Sector Project of the Year" by Document Manager (DM) Magazine, the leading publication on ECM in the UK, at their annual DM awards, which recognises the industry leaders in document management in the UK.
The award represents the best software project chosen for the most notable technology to improve document management and workflow, increased time savings and lower costs in a privately held company.
An award largely due to DocuWare’s innovative use of Destiny’s digital pen solution, which allows data to be captured, recorded and processed in near real-time.
Destiny’s digital pen, based on Anoto technology, has allowed for a rather unique document workflow process at Serviceline, an industrial kitchen maintenance company. The workflow starts with the digital pen and pad and ends up in DocuWare on a job manager's pc via the Internet, and later is accessible by anyone. The seamless integration into the digital pen gives Serviceline the capability to save all documents pertaining to a job in one document pool from the moment it is checked off.
Stefan Schindler, Director at DocuWare Ltd., remarks: "This integration project proved to have many advantages, one of which is that due to DocuWare's Web Client, engineers in the field are able to access the status of the job from any location which saves enormous amounts of resources. As soon as a job is checked off as done using the Destiny digital pen, an invoice can be created and sent out; this truly increases cash flow."
“Destiny’s and DocuWare’s solutions are a perfect fit”, said Destiny’s Founder and CEO, Edward Belgeonne, “Both the digital pen and DocuWare’s solutions are both sold on their easy installation and use, administration and operation, and they both have an exceptionally low total cost of ownership, making them affordable for the client at a time when every penny counts.
“This is the third award Destiny’s solution has been responsible for this month and we are very proud that it is having such an impact across a number of sectors and look forward to many more!”
